He married Lina Roth, whom he called Dolly, in 1905. She fostered his writing career, serving as editor, manager, and muse. More than 130 million Zane Grey novels are in print worldwide. During his lifetime, Grey wrote 89 books, including 56 Western novels. The avid sportsman's larger-than-life personality and adventure-filled books influenced early 20th-century popular culture.
